2017 CRFL Draft Preview: The Valley Bulls

The 2017 NFL draft is less than a month away! In the mean time, I'll be doing a preview of each of the 12 CRFL teams, where they currently stand, what they need to address in the draft, etc. Closing in on the final previews prior to the draft, next up are The Valley Bulls, who struggled in 2016 and might be a lock for dead last in 2017. Is there any hope? Hint: no.

Preview

The picture in the left hand corner is of Larry Fitzgerald, and it tells you all you really need to know. When your best player is Fitz, it's going be a very long year. Add in the fact that the Bulls do not have a 2017 1st round pick, and frankly this might be the grimmest situation I've ever seen for a CRFL team.

The RB crew of Woodhead, Bernard, and Yeldon consists of all 3rd down RBs. They might keep the team respectable in certain weeks, but it's easily the league's worst RB group. The WR corps is entirely made up of players with WR2 ceiling, and Blake Bortles and Matthew Stafford are unlikely to be QB1's. The Bulls do have an elite TE in Walker, but might be better off trading him to a contender for a draft pick or two.

Beyond that, the objective for the Bulls is obvious. Winning is not in the cards, so tanking for Saquon Barkley and Bo Scarborough has begun. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Bulls only win 1-2 games this upcoming fall.
