2017 CRFL Draft Preview: Badgerhawks

The 2017 NFL draft is tomorrow! The wait is killing me. In the mean time, I'll be doing the final preview of each of the 12 CRFL teams, where they currently stand, what they need to address in the draft, etc. That final team is Badgerhawks, who thanks to fortuitous results at the end of the 2016 season, have the #1 overall pick. Is Leonard Fournette bound for the Badgerhawks?

Preview

The Badgerhawks, the team that never trades. Their entire draft slate is spotless, no picks gained or loss. No green or red marks, only a clean white draft slate. One could argue their lack of ambition to make a move is the reason they've consistently been a bottom-dweller in the CRFL. This time however, an opportunity is presented to them: the #1 pick.

This isn't totally a bad team. Marcus Mariota and Jameis Winston are two future QB1's. Spencer Ware and C.J. Anderson are a decent, maybe even deceptively good RB tandem. Jarvis Landry might be the most underrated WR in football. Now the 1.01 pick stares the Badgerhawks in the face.

I'll admit, the inactivity of this team lately leads to the concern that they might autopick Alshon Jeffrey. They should draft Leonard Fournette with that pick, an excellent building block for this team. Will that happen? The NFL Draft is less than 24 hours away, but we won't get the answer to the Badgerhawks question for another 9 days or so.

Until then....enjoy the draft!
